As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Professional supporting a dynamic financial institution location. In this role, you will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security-related activity, document key details, and help maintain organized operations across the site. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, cameras, and/or other communication systems to receive calls for service, document activity, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations by gathering key details, relaying information to site personnel and/or first responders, and helping to coordinate timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and other records related to daily operations, after-hours activity, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support regular and random patrol activity by tracking officer status, communicating post assignments, and helping to direct resources around the business and perimeter as conditions change.
