About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Professional with Allied Universal at a leading technology and telecommunications location, you will help monitor security-related activity, coordinate communications, and support timely responses across the site. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities from a dispatch setting.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and other site systems to identify security-related concerns and help to coordinate the appropriate response for incidents, alarms, and service calls.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with on-site personnel, management, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, and activity records, documenting security-related events, escalations, and communications in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate regular and random patrol activity around the location and perimeter, helping to support coverage for a technology-focused environment with changing conditions and priorities.
