About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor communication systems, receive calls and alarms, and dispatch security-related personnel to reported incidents, service requests, and/or critical situations across the location.
• Document incidents, maintain detailed activity logs, and communicate updates to supervisors, site contacts, and/or responding personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Support access control and visitor management activities by verifying information, coordinating entry requests, and reporting unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, noting maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious activity in a technology-focused location.
