Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and incidents to appropriate personnel throughout a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant details to responders and site leadership.
Monitor communication systems, access-related activity, and facility conditions, reporting unusual activity and maintaining accurate dispatch logs.
Coordinate with hospital personnel and public emergency services as directed during medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical events.
