As a Dispatch Officer in a retail location, you will coordinate responses to alarm and access-control activity, communicate clearly with on-site teams and external partners, and help support a secure, welcoming environment. Your customer-focused approach and attention to detail will help address security-related concerns while delivering through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to retail location personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and coordinate communications from alarms, calls, radios, and/or other reporting channels; dispatch appropriate personnel and document activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift records to support security-related operations at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail business and perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
