As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor activity, coordinate responses, and help maintain a secure environment through strong communication and attention to detail. This role combines customer service, routine oversight, and real-time reporting while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing communications, and supporting security-related requests in a professional manner.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, access control activity, radios, and other dispatch systems, and communicate updates to on-site personnel and supervisors as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to coordinate security-related response activities and/or emergency notifications.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, visitor information, and other required documentation, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter when assigned, while helping to observe conditions, report concerns, and support security-related operations across the site.
