About The Position

As a Security Officer Customer Care in Pikesville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Officer at a residential community, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the residential community, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, vendor, and incident records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Report observed maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related issues according to site-specific procedures.
