About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Edinburg, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help support a secure, welcoming environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring visitor access, and maintaining clear communication with employees and guests. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points at a food and beverage manufacturing location, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
Control entry and exit for personnel, vendors, and vehicles, including truck traffic, while documenting access-related activity and reporting discrepancies to site contacts.
Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
