As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access processes, and maintain a welcoming, professional presence for employees, visitors, and patients. You will use communication and customer service skills to help address security-related concerns while supporting routine procedures. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Possessing a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at assigned entrances and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter, as required by site procedures.
