As a Security Officer Credential Validation in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage visitor and badge access, monitor entry points, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, contractor check-ins, and delivery access in accordance with site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident records; communicate access concerns and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
