Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and/or visitor credentials, and support daily operations with strong customer service. In this role, you will help promote a secure, welcoming environment through professionalism, communication, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or credential checkpoints to help control authorized access for employees, visitors, drivers, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, yard, dock areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that could impact operations.
• Assist with visitor processing, vehicle and trailer entry documentation, and related log entries to support orderly access activity at a logistics and distribution location.
