About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Control in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue temporary badges, and/or document visitor activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
  • Operate access control systems, alarm panels, communication tools, and/or related technology used to support authorized entry, restricted areas, and after-hours activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, lobbies, and/or perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and support security-related procedures.
