As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, drivers, and/or vendors, and maintain accurate access records for personnel and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points, as directed by site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, report unusual activity, and support orderly traffic flow for employees, guests, and/or shipment-related vehicles.
