About The Position

As a Security Officer - Credential Check in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access processes. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas through consistent application of security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Screen deliveries, vendors, and guests, maintain required logs and records, and support badge issuance and visitor management processes in accordance with location procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby, access points, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
