About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and may drive as part of assigned duties. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a retail distribution center by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain access logs, and direct authorized personnel and delivery traffic as applicable.
• Respond to access control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and distribution operations areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management, completing clear and accurate reports as required.
