At a dynamic logistics and distribution location, Security Officers monitor access points and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support badge and access control procedures, assist with screening activities, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entry and exit points, trailers, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
