As a Security Officer Part Time Screener in Fort Worth, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a busy logistics and distribution location, our Screeners help support a welcoming, well-organized environment by monitoring entry points, conducting screening activities, and responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and site procedures, documenting prohibited items, access concerns, and/or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and completing required reports as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, entry points, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations while maintaining detailed logs, screening records, and incident documentation.
