About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will welcome guests and tenants, manage access control and visitor logs, and monitor the lobby and entry points to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will be a visible, professional presence who supports a positive experience through clear communication and customer service, while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Being able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies.
  • Greet and process visitors, issue temporary badges, manage sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and notify tenant contacts of arrivals while maintaining professional lobby operations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other building systems as assigned, document unusual activity, and report concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete daily activity reports and maintain accurate records of calls, incidents, deliveries, and key or credential control in accordance with site requirements.
