You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control and badge processes, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet systems, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment while working with integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and reports.
  • Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
