Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and assigned security-related duties at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assist with access control activities, and document daily events, observations, and/or incidents in required logs and reports.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders, and helping direct people during evacuations, restricted access situations, and/or other site events.
