About The Position

As a Security Officer Communications Specialist in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor systems, coordinate responses to incidents and alarms, and support site operations through clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor communication systems, alarms, cameras, and/or access activity from the dispatch post, and relay information to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, critical situations, and/or service requests by coordinating resources, documenting key details, and communicating updates to the appropriate contacts.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident records to support daily operations, investigations, and/or follow-up actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrol coordination around the business and perimeter, while helping to support coverage needs as working environments and conditions vary by location.
