About The Position

As an Afternoon Security Officer at Nemacolin's luxury resort, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our guests, staff, and property. You will maintain a visible presence throughout the resort, respond to incidents, and uphold the highest standards of guest service and professionalism in line with our brand values. Afternoon shift hours are from 2pm to 10:30pm. PA 235 certified officers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in security, preferably in a luxury hospitality or resort environment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Must complete and pass a hospitality security officer certification program within 60 days.
  • Must pass a physical fitness evaluation prior to starting employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional security or hospitality training is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • PA Act 235 armed agent certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests, associates, and resort assets through proactive patrols and surveillance.
  • Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the resort premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, and perimeter zones.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and other security-related incidents. Provide first aid or CPR if certified and necessary.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas. Verify identification and credentials of visitors, contractors, and staff as required.
  • Accurately document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports. Maintain logs and records in accordance with resort policies.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by assisting with directions, lost and found, and general inquiries while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems and other security technology to detect and respond to suspicious activity.
  • Enforce resort policies and procedures, including fire safety, emergency evacuation, and health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering) to ensure a seamless and secure guest experience.
