About The Position

As a Security Officer Communications Operator in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, communicating with staff, students, visitors, and/or local responders, and supporting emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Monitor telephones, radios, alarms, and/or camera systems, document calls for service, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, routine requests, and critical situations by gathering details, prioritizing communications, and relaying updates to supervisors and/or responding personnel.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, helping to support timely communication and organized follow-up on security-related matters.
  • Conduct regular and random patrol support functions by coordinating field activity around buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations as needed by the site.
