About The Position

As a Security Officer Command Center Operator in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a retail or mall location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and support site operations with responsive service. You will help maintain a welcoming environment for guests, tenants, and staff while assisting with security-related needs. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, and access-control systems; document incidents and coordinate the appropriate response according to site procedures.
• Receive calls for service, prioritize routine and urgent requests, and dispatch security-related personnel to assigned areas of the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter as assigned; report observed hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns.
