As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires driving responsibilities as part of your daily duties, making you a key part of our agile and reliable team that always puts people first.

Requirements

  • One or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment within the location.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as directed by site protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, drills, and training sessions as needed for the location.
