About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Your visible presence, teamwork, and customer service skills support our caring culture, which values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings as required.
Work closely with site personnel and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as appropriate.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies, including those specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
Participate in security-related training and drills to remain prepared for various situations that may occur at the location.
