About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Your visible presence, teamwork, and customer service skills support our caring culture, which values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings as required.
  • Work closely with site personnel and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as appropriate.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies, including those specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Participate in security-related training and drills to remain prepared for various situations that may occur at the location.
