About The Position

As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related operations at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with awareness of the unique requirements of a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Monitor for any unusual conditions or activities during patrols, reporting findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to relay important information regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist in maintaining access control by observing entry and exit points, verifying credentials as needed, and documenting observations.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or security-related risks specific to chemical and petrochemical operations, escalating concerns as directed by site procedures.
