Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Springfield, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, managing access control, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, particularly in a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points within the location.
  • Support Allied Universal and site management with security-related documentation and incident reporting as required.
