Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Team in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling access at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to support a secure environment, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
One year or more of law enforcement experience or two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or three or more years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies unique to chemical and petrochemical environments.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols for the location.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
