About The Position
As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Monitor in Parma, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and logging all visitors, contractors, and employees in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and answering questions about site procedures.
- Carry out security-related procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site management, including responding to alarms and reporting irregularities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for suspicious activity or potential hazards.
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation or shelter-in-place procedures, as needed for the location.
- Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and follow all required protocols and personal protective equipment guidelines relevant to the chemical and petrochemical industry.
