Job Description As a Security Officer - Chemical Gate Monitor in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. You will interact with personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. This is a driving role, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions regarding access procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter security-related risks.
Document observations and incidents as required, maintaining accurate and timely reports according to site procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when necessary.
