As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and monitor assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication while utilizing technology to support your responsibilities. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following site-specific procedures and protocols.
Monitor and document individuals entering or exiting the property, verifying identification and credentials as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, according to established protocols and emergency response activities.
Provide outstanding customer service by communicating professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the perimeter and designated areas of the property to observe and report any security-related concerns.
Observe for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings to Allied Universal and client representatives as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures to support security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
