About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, helping monitor screening areas, conduct inspections, and support access activity with professionalism and care. Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and site policies, and report irregularities or prohibited items to the appropriate contact.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating updates as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of operational activity, equipment areas, and/or vehicle traffic patterns.
