Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and campus perimeters to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with visitor direction, access procedures, and communication of security-related information.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and promptly communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
