About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby in Grand Island, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, visitor management practices, and Allied Universal protocols for an educational location.
  • Monitor access to the building by greeting students, staff, visitors, and vendors, checking identification and/or credentials, and directing arrivals according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Complete front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Support a professional lobby environment by observing activity at the entrance, helping to deter unauthorized access, and assisting with security-related inquiries and/or requests.
