Job Description As a Security Officer - Bus Depot Patrol Driver in Sandusky, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy transportation location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a transportation setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of rail-adjacent property, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing drivers and/or pedestrians according to site rules and traffic flow requirements.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives using approved communication methods.
