As a Security Officer - Armed Embassy Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while supporting a respectful public-facing environment. This post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting support from site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
Control access at designated posts by checking identification, screening visitors, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and monitoring entry and exit activity per site policy.
Prepare clear, detailed reports on patrols, incidents, alarms, and unusual activity, and maintain required logs and communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
