Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and reception desk responsibilities at a commercial office location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, verify visitor information, issue access credentials as directed, and help to support authorized entry and departure procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, maintain visitor and delivery records, and report maintenance, access, and other security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Observe cameras, alarms, and front entrance activity from a stationary post, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns in required reports.
