Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a cultural collections location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, offices, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and facility conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; assist with access control and visitor direction in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Help protect cultural assets and property by maintaining a professional presence and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
