As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to visitors, staff, and guests while contributing to a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and guests at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, exhibit spaces, public areas, offices, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report access-control concerns or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observed conditions to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
