About The Position

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, verify authorized access when required, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through established procedures.
