About The Position

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and/or guests at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment and support the protection of collections, displays, and property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
