As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while using technology to document activity and report concerns. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and help maintain an orderly environment around exhibits and collections.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
