As a Security Officer Bicycle Response Driver in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Security Officer supporting a government downtown ambassador program, you will provide a welcoming, highly visible presence while monitoring public areas and conducting routine bike patrols. You will help to deter security-related incidents, assist visitors, communicate clearly with community partners, and report concerns. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional service with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, businesses, residents, and stakeholders in a downtown public-area setting by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador presence, offering directions, local information, and assistance while helping to deter unwanted activity through professional engagement and observation.
  • Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned public areas, business districts, sidewalks, parking locations, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and service requests accurately, and maintain professional interactions with the public, client representatives, and Allied Universal leadership.
