As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public as needed.
