About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Badging Desk in Fort Myers, Florida, to conduct foot patrols of a retail warehouse and handle employee badging. The officer monitors the safety and security of the environment and secures access and egress points. The role is at a technology, media, and telecommunications location and includes unarmed patrol, access control, and customer service responsibilities. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour. The officer provides customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; follows site-specific security procedures and policies; and participates in emergency response activities when appropriate. The officer responds professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, conducts routine and random patrols, monitors access points and visitor activity, and accurately documents observations and activities. Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years of age.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A current guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct foot patrols of the retail warehouse and routine or random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
Handle employee badging and support access control, including securing access and egress points.
Monitor the safety and security of the environment and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity and verify authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
Follow site-specific security procedures and policies and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating information through established reporting channels.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly using required reports and communication tools.
