Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and credential checkpoints to help regulate authorized access to the property, including screening visitors, verifying identification, and documenting arrivals and departures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, access control issues, and security-related concerns in industrial and chemical processing areas.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activities, incidents, and access-related events, and communicate relevant information with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
