Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor check-in information in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate staff and/or supervisors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Support daily access control operations by documenting visitor activity, assisting with restricted area procedures, and communicating clearly with staff regarding security-related matters.
