As a Security Officer Badge Verification Patrol in Kingsport, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control operations. You will engage with employees and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility grounds, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and shift activities accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
