Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support daily site operations with professional communication and strong attention to detail. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
• Support gatehouse and access screening functions by checking deliveries, directing traffic flow, and reporting policy violations or suspicious activity to help to deter unauthorized access.
